“What would the super app experience look like inside Walmart ecosystem?”
This one liner brief came from the business team.
Initial research showed a big problem in the world of mobile apps is the saturation of single-purpose apps. Users have to download a plethora of apps to complete their everyday tasks. This means users have to constantly switch between apps leading to a jarring and fragmented experience.
There is an opportunity to tackle the problem with the introduction of a super app. It will provide an ‘all in one’ experience for users to buy products and avail services as they go about their day to day lives. Connecting different types of services into one ecosystem, a super app can create valuable synergies and unlock new use cases.
Objectives
Understand the needs, motivations and pain points of a typical Walmart customer and figure out whether Super App can be a viable solution for them.
If user research validates the need for a Super App, conceptualize and design a user experience for the same.
